Abstract

The subject of this paper are different types of speech in the novel Mitrova Amerika written by Petar Sarić, a distinguished writer from Kosovo and Metohija. We will attempt to isolate and describe different models of speech and their modifications, as well as the interrelation between direct and indirect speech, and to determine their function in this section. Special attention will be devoted to the free indirect speech, which is exclusively characteristic of novelistic prose.
