Abstract

We show that supports prepared by addition of TiO2 to Al2O3 improves hydrogen yield from propane partial oxidation by 30%. An optimal hydrogen yield is obtained with a TiO2–Al2O3 composite of 0.54:0.46 ratio deposited with Rh operating at 900 °C. Long-term operation shows that TiO2 delays catalyst deactivation, only up to 25 hrs.
