Abstract
The research aims to review souvenir products based on design principles, especially the principles of unity, balance, emphasis, and proportion. This research was conducted on 5 types of souvenirs taken from 4 shops in Aceh market in Kampung Penunayong. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research by describing souvenirs that are researched and assessed based on design principles. The data sources in this study are documentation, literature and interviews. Data collection procedures are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study show that overall souvenirs have a fairly good value, in terms of unity, balance, emphasis and proportion. Obtained an average value of 73.35 with a category of B (good). Of the three assessment teams, the average score was 230.75. Thus, an average value of 76.91 with a category of B (good) is obtained.
