Abstract

<p><em>Considering that 2019, the world has been shocked by the spread of COVID-19, which is causing a pandemic. COVID-19 pandemic has become a major global health problem, and vaccination is considered one of the most effective ways to control the spread of the virus. The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence and level of knowledge about the use of vaccines in the prevention of COVID-19 among students of the pharmacy curriculum at Bakti Tunas Husada University. The research method was an online survey, where the respondents were Bachelor of Pharmacy students from Bakti Tunas Husada University. A questionnaire was designed to collect information on prevalence rates and their knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine. The collected data is then analyzed statistically to get a comprehensive overview of the current situation. The results of the study showed that most pharmacy students in Bakti Tunas Husada University had sufficient information about the COVID-19 vaccine. They understand the benefits of vaccination in preventing COVID-19, the recommended doses and the recommended testing schedule. In addition, most of the respondents also knew the side effects after vaccination. However, this study also showed some interest in students' knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine. Some respondents remain concerned and question the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. In addition, inaccurate information about the COVID-19 vaccination is spreading among students. The present study suggests the need for more intensive training and research for students in the pharmacy curriculum at Bakti Tunas Husada University. This can be done by providing accurate information from reliable sources and communicating clearly and easily. With better knowledge, students can actively participate in supporting the COVID-19 vaccination program and prevent the spread of the virus.</em></p>
