Abstract

Level of Risk of Drinking Water Facilities In Sukabumi District. Accesing to protected drinking water sources are still limite for public in Sukabumi where as nationally experiences is decreasing, especially in urban area. Purpose of this study were to know usage pattern of drinking water facilities and level of contamination, and risk of drinking water facilities. The study was done in Sukabumi District by the way of doing interview to 3008 house holds in all district region, and did sanitary inspection to 1842 drinking water facilities. The result showed mostly household in Sukabumi District still consuming high risk pollution of drinking water, whereas 87.9% came from unprotected drinking water sources. Its mostly from dug well. Sanitary inspection to 1842 drinking water facilities showed that were 37.9% low risk category, 40.7% medium risk, 17.7% highrisk, and 3.7% very high risk. Drinking water facilities with high risk were dug well (34.9%), pumped well (10.4%) and piping connection (3.7%). While according to qualification of residence, drinking water facilities having high risk category was higher in urban than rural area. Keywords: drinking water, water supply, sanitary inspection
