Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic currently sweeping the world has caused high morbidity and mortality worldwide. The vaccination program provided by the Indonesian government aims to resolve the COVID-19 pandemic. Public knowledge about COVID-19 and vaccines can support the success of programs to deal with this disease. The research aims to describe the knowledge level and motivation of the community receiving the COVID 19 vaccine at Panti Nugroho Purbalingga Hospital in 2022. This research used a descriptive study method with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling with 97 people as respondents. Research data collection using questionnaires and descriptive data analysis. The result of the study was that most of them were 18-30 years old (33%), had secondary education (49.5%), worked in the private sector (36.1%), and had sources of information from publications (34%). Most of the knowledge of the recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine was sufficient, which is 58 people (59.8%), and the motivation for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine was in the moderate category which is 49 people (50.5%). Data analysis showed that most of the knowledge of the recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine was enough (59.8%), and the motivation of the recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine was in the moderate category (50.5%). The public should know about the COVID 19 vaccine to understand the importance of this vaccine in creating community immunity and accelerating the end of the pandemic
