Abstract

Preparatory activity is found across the motor network. In this issue of Neuron, Chabrol etal. (2019) show that preparatory activity in the anterior lateral motor cortex (ALM) and cerebellum is related to the prediction of reward delivery and that the cerebellum provides a learned timing signal to the ALM.
