Abstract

The suprathreshold gain of the ganglion cell to increase of intensity does not change with temporal summation from 500 msec down to 5 msec exposure time. The response functions to intensity are displaced parallel above the abscissa. The responses to equal energy products ofI×t were comparable up to 30 msec. An equation is used to describe temporal summation which is basically the same as the one applied to spatial summation in a previous paper.
