Abstract

Elevated maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein (MS-AFP ≥2.5MoM) is associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes (APO); however, there is limited data on the association of gestational age [GA] timing of the MS-AFP assay and APO. We sought to determine if there was an optimal GA for the MS-AFP assay in the second trimester that best predicts APO.
