Abstract
AbstractA method is proposed to segregate channels used by each base station in both time and frequency in the case of a high‐speed wireless access system. By means of this method, many base stations can be established in a high‐speed wireless access system in which the number of frequency channels is reduced as the bandwidth per wave becomes wider. Further, the frequency‐use efficiency is improved in the entire system. In this paper, the timing and frequency‐based channel segregation method is proposed. The base station channel segregation algorithm in which this method is applied to a specific system is presented. By means of computer simulation, the possibility of achieving base station segregation is evaluated. It is shown that the proposed method is effective in a high‐speed wireless access system. Experiments using test apparatus show the correct operation of the system. © 2002 Scripta Technica, Electron Comm Jpn Pt 1, 85(6): 64–74, 2002
