Abstract
The paper contains results of computation of time-domain response of an asymmetrical modal filter (MF) without resistors to ultrashort pulse excitation. Pulses, which are not resulted by reflections of even and odd mode, have been detected in the time-domain response of a MF for the first time. Quasistatic simulation in TALGAT software and electrodynamic simulation in CST MWS proved existence of these pulses. It is shown that their delays with high accuracy can be described by linear combinations of per-unit-length delays of even and add modes of a line.
