Abstract

AbstractIn this article, the frequency‐domain impedance boundary condition used for a thin layer coating over perfect conductors is transformed to a time‐domain impedance boundary condition (TDIBC) for the case of ablique incident perpendicular‐polarization plane wave, resulting in a partial differential equation in space and time. Discretization of the TDIBC to effeciently handle the thin layer coating is presented in the context of the time‐domain finite‐difference (TDFD) technique. The TDFD solutions using our TDIBC are in good agreement with the analytical results. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
