Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The ANTHEM 2D implicit plasma simulation code has been modified to represent the transport of a cold electron fluid penetrating and replacing a warmer background fluid near absolute zero temperature. The ions are fixed. A weak magnetic field (/spl les/ 1 kG) is initially associated with the background. The electrons have a reduced mass characteristic of transport through a crystal lattice. Both electron fluids retain inertia. The cooled external fluid has an infinite mean free path and infinite conductivity. The internal background electron fluid is collisional. The electron description contains the London equations as a subset. The time-dependent calculations trace exclusion of the initial magnetic field as the infinitely conducting electrons replace the background electrons, as seen in the Meissner effect.
