Abstract

The time-dependent monoenergetic neutron transport equation in a finite plane-parallel medium with linear anisotropic scattering and with specular-reflecting boundaries is considered. The problem is solved using Pomraning–Eddington approximation and by using weight functions to force the boundary conditions to be fulfilled. Numerical calculations for the reflectivity and transmissivity of the proposed medium are calculated at different times and different thicknesses.
