Abstract

Large time-dependent partial-rate asymmetries associated with CP violation are predicted for the decays of ${B}_{s}$ (\ensuremath{\equiv}b\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}s) and ${B}_{d}$ (\ensuremath{\equiv}b\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}d) to certain two-body final states (such as ${D}^{+}$${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$). Tagging on an accompanying charged b-flavored particle (${B}_{u}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$=b\ifmmode \bar{u}\else \={u}\fi{}) or identified baryon (${\ensuremath{\Lambda}}_{b}$\ensuremath{\equiv}bud) permits the identification of the initial flavor (B or B\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}) of the decaying particle. The asymmetries are contrasted with the ${B}_{d}$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\psi}${K}_{S}$ asymmetry discussed earlier in the literature.
