Abstract
In this paper, we propose a dual redundant control system which is capable of removing the failed controEer by some fault-tolerant policy. The detection method based on a performance measure can detect controller failures without relying on mathematical model and failure assumptions. It can handle gradual degrading failures as well as catastrophic failures by introducing the concept of failure measure and time weight.
