Abstract

A time synchronization algorithm based on broadcast gossip algorithm for wireless sensor networks was proposed to realize synchronization improvement by combining the broadcasting characteristics of wireless channel and gossip algorithm. The passage introduces the pairwise gossip algorithm and broadcast gossip algorithm, and compares them. It introduces the time synchronization algorithm based on broadcast gossip in detail and analyzes its convergence and performance. Finally, we simulate it and confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in expediting the convergence rate and reducing the energy consumption.
