Abstract
AbstractSince there are a considerable number of earthquakes and active volcanoes in Japan, it is important to install high‐accuracy seismic monitoring equipment and to develop systems that can process observed data efficiently. In the field of seismic data processing, specific requirements such as multichannel and on‐demand/real‐time processing are essential, whereas they are not so significant in other time‐series data. Since conventional systems cannot fulfill such requisites, a client/server system is newly developed. It provides a unified solution for delivering the seismic data to the client side, whether it is used for real‐time monitoring or for on‐demand printing. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
