Abstract
A comprehensive petrological study and age dating of a young clinopyroxenite–gabbro–hornblendite series intruded deformed dunites, clinopyroxenites, and tilaites of the Kytlym mafic–ultramafic massif have been carried out. The convergent 40Ar–39Ar age of amphibole from clinopyroxenite and U–Pb isotope data of zircons from melanocratic gabbro correspond to 415 Ma and indicate that the termination of ultramafic magmatism in the Ural Platinum Belt took place in the Early Devonian.
