Abstract
The blastocysts, morphologicaly selected for transfer into the uterus can have numerous chromosomal aberrations, leading to spontaneous abortions or live births with congenital pathologies. Modern methodological base does not allow defining embryo ploidy status without invasive procedures. Non-invasive evaluation of embryo ploidy status could be a powerful tool for increasing IVF treatment efficiency and reducing costs. Time-lapse imaging seems to be one of the possible approaches.
