Abstract
The paper deals with the complexified Green function of the 3D Helmholtz equation in a free space, which is of interest as an exact solution demonstrating the Gaussian beam behavior. This function involves a square root and satisfies a nonhomogeneous Helmholtz equation, the right-hand side of which depends on a cut and on the branch of a root. An explicit representation of this generalized function is studied. Bibliography: 21 titles.
