Abstract
A time domain bistatic inverse scattering identity based on the Radon transform and the space-time magnetic integral equation is derived for real-time use in short pulse radar systems. It is shown that using a sine-modulated exponential pulse (SILIEP) and algorithms for reconstruction from projections provides an edge-enhanced image. A simulation based on stepped frequency, multi-aspect measurements of aircraft models produces clear images with highly defined edges. Images using data from a restricted range of aspect angles are also demonstrated.
