Abstract

AbstractThe analysis of the contamination of the plasma by a puffed recycling impurity, such as neon, is intrinsically time‐dependent and requires simultaneous time‐dependent modelling of both the core region and the SOL and divertor region. To this end, a new code, combining core and edge codes, has been developed: its main features will be described and its application to the analysis of an L‐mode discharge in which neon was puffed will be shown.
