Abstract
Generalized normal and gamma distributions are considered. Using a calculus of variations, a correlation was found which connects the scale parameter, the shape parameter, and the time, which allowed introducing the time-dependent generalized normal and gamma distributions. It is shown that probability density functions of introduced distributions are solutions of the higher order partial differential equations obtained in this paper.
