Abstract

Dynamical evolutions of the cosmological constant Lambda and the gravitational constant G are studied based on the argument by Baum (1983) and Hawking (1984). The evolutions of Lambda and G are controlled by the effective action which is induced by the quantum fluctuations of gravity field. The minimum of the effective potential automatically gives vanishing Lambda and finite G, toward which the universe evolves.
