Abstract

This paper discusses the time delay-dependent stability and stabilization problem for discrete-time T-S fuzzy systems with time delay. Some new LMI-based delay-dependent stability and stabilization conditions are derived using the Lyapunov-based approach. Compared with the existing results for the same problem, the number of LMI based delay-dependent stability and stabilization conditions reduced to p from p(p+1)/2, where p is the number of rules for the fuzzy model and fuzzy controller. Consequently, the computational demand for finding the solution can be loosened significantly. Numerical examples are given to show that the proposed results are effective and less conservative.
