Abstract
A bistable circuit using two silicon controlled rectifiers is switched at regular intervals to initiate a delivery of liquid gas into the cold trap of an ultra-high vacuum system. A thermistor located within a nylon neck fitting is used to terminate the delivery. The circuit and gas transfer unit are described in sufficient detail to enable this reliable automatic delivery system to be constructed without difficulty.
