Abstract

An analytic and numerical investigation is reported of the stability of the solution of a system of equations describing the interaction of four light waves in a medium where stimulated Brillouin scattering takes place under boundary conditions corresponding to a four-wave phase-conjugate mirror and a phase synchronizer. Ranges of stability against amplitude, phase, and polarization perturbations were obtained.
