Abstract
In this article, the aspects that harm ecolinguistics, which is emerging as a new field in linguistics, were discussed. The directions of linguoecology such as macroecolinguistics and microecolinguistics and their main concepts were discussed. In world linguistics, the views of researchers in defining the directions of linguoecology were discussed, and the importance of these directions in the formation of the ecology of the Uzbek language was discussed.
