Abstract

The Restored Republic was a period in which literary work resurfaced with force, led by Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, who through the press elucidated the future of literature as a means of national reconciliation. To this end, Altamirano founded the magazine El Renacimiento. The publication had lithographs, the first frontispiece stood out, which, by its iconographic elements makes us notice the allegorical representation of the intellectual revival.
