Abstract

The complete traumatic rupture of tibialis posterior tendon (TPT) is very rare [6]. Acquired mobile flat foot deformity in children due to TPT dysfunction is usually due to penetrating trauma [3]. Presentation of such deformity in children due to closed ankle injury without associated fracture has not been described before. We present one child who sustained posttraumatic unilateral flat foot deformity. Investigation confirmed a close rupture of TPT. The child underwent a primary repair with a good result.
