Abstract
Thyroglossal cyst is formed from the remnant of thyroglossal tract around 8th–10th weeks of gestation. Thyroglossal cyst is the most common congenital mass found in neck midline. Development of carcinoma in thyroglossal cyst is rare, with an incidence of 0.7%–1.0%.
