Abstract

In patients with hand osteoarthritis (OA), involvement of the thumb base joint (TBJ) is considered to be an important clinical feature affecting the clinical burden of hand OA. Research findings with regard to the impact of involvement of the thumb base on daily functioning are not consistent.
