Abstract
In order to improve the thrust characteristic of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM), the finite element method is used to analyze the influence of twelve parameters on thrust characteristics. Six of them are selected as the optimization variables based on Taguchi method. Using the multi-objective optimization assisted with the kriging model, the results show that the optimized PMLSM has a 64% reduction in thrust ripple and a 6.6% increase in average thrust compared with the original PMLSM.
