Abstract

Abstract This paper attempts to derive an analytical method which can evaluate the thrust and the slip line exerted by a continuous track shoe. Calculated values of the thrust and the slip line predicted by this analytical method are compared with values obtained through experiment with one track shoe. Comparison shows that the calculated thrust and slip line agree quite satisfactorily with the measured results.
