Abstract
At the very top of the steep Bobrishnyi Hill, above the northern river Iug, the important Russian poet Aleksandr Iashin is buried. In the chronicles, this area was known as the Land beyond Zavolotsk; now it is known as the Vologodchina, or Vologda territory. Iashin loved these forested stretches and his memory is revered in the Nikol'sk district: the exhibits at both the memorial museum located in the school named after him and the log hunting cabin where he so loved to write, seated at the handmade table put together by Vasilii Belov, are constantly being added to. Iashin's books are read and reread.
