Abstract

These proceedings represent a condensed review of the present thinking of a group of distinguished investigators and clinicians who gathered together under the sponsorship of the University of St. Andrews to discuss thrombosis and anticoagulant therapy. The views expressed represent a good cross section of those held by informed students of cardiovascular and hematological problems of Great Britain and continental Europe. In most respects, these coincide with the accepted concepts in the United States, but there are enough differences in details to warrant careful study of this volume by all who are interested in this area.
