Abstract

A transobturator iliopopliteal bypass using an Omniflow II Biosynthetic Vascular Prosthesis (LeMaitre Vascular, Burlington, VT, USA) was performed owing to axillofemoral graft infection. Two months later, bypass graft thrombosis due to a stenosis of the proximal anastomosis (A) was noted. Via midthigh graft access, successful thrombectomy, and stent grafting using an 8 × 150 mm VIABAHN endoprosthesis (WL Gore and Associates, Flagstaff, AZ, USA) with coverage including the external iliac artery, and proximal bypass was performed. Anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy were initiated. Surveillance by duplex ultrasound at three and 12 months with a supplementary computed tomography scan at 12 months showed stent graft and bypass patency (B).Image 1
