Abstract

This paper presents an advanced control strategy of a three-phase grid-connected photovoltaic generation PVG system without boost converter feeding linear or non-linear load. The main goal of this control strategy is to achieve the maximum power point tracking MPPT and unity power factor UPF under any situation of solar radiation and temperature. The controller is designed by using Backstepping method based on a model of the system in dq0 axis. The controlled PVG system operates near the maximum power point and it works as an active filter able to compensate harmonics components and reactive power caused by the load, Which connected also to the PVG system. Mathematical analysis and simulation results validate the good performance of this control strategy under climatic changes and system disturbances. The controller is characterized by its robustness and simplicity.
