Abstract

Discrepancies between three‐nucleon (3N) continuum data and theoretical predictions based on nucleon‐nucleon (NN) interactions only might indicate the action of 3N forces (3NF). We present predictions on the effect of the Tuscon‐Melbourne (TM) 3NF for different 3N scattering observables. For each particular NN interaction we fitted the cut‐off parameter of the TM 3NF to the correct triton binding energy. At the low energies considered the 3NF effects in Nd elastic scattering and breakup processes turned out to be rather small.
