Abstract

ABSTRACT During a field survey in 2016–2107, three new species of eriophyid mites (Trombidiformes: Eriophyoidea: Eriophyidae) were collected from Leguminosae plants, from semi-arid and arid environment in Birjand region, South Khorasan province, East of Iran. They are Aculus onobrychiensis sp. nov. from Onobrychis laxiflora Baker, Anthocoptes dorokhshii sp. nov. from Trifolium repens L., and Aculops pachyphora sp. nov. from Sophora pachycarpa C.A. Mey. All three new species appear to be vagrants on the leaves and no symptom was observed.
