Abstract
Three undescribed tylenchs from Tierra del Fuego, Southern Chile, are considered to belong to Basirienchus gen. n. differing from Basiria by the shape and position of the amphidial apertures and the less prominent labial papillae. By its cuticular structure B. elenae gen. n., sp. n., resembles Campbellenchus and B. costatus gen. n., sp. n. resembles Neothada and Coslenchus; the third species B. uncinatus gen. n., sp. n. does not have such elaborate cuticular structure and resembles Tylenchus s.l. Basiria paragracilis sp. n. from Colorado, U.S.A. has a stylet without knobs; it has a lower head than B. gracilis. Additional information on Campbellenchus is provided.
