Abstract

An ongoing phytochemical investigation of the whole plant of Wedelia trilobata, which is one of the 100 most invasive species in the world, led to the isolation of three new eudesmanolide δ-lactones wedelolides K-M (1-3). Their structures and relative configurations were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR experiments (UV, IR, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR).
