Abstract
A new graphical representation of normal stress at one point and its corresponding deviatoric stress state are presented for the first time in this paper. The relationship between the normal stress figures and the deformation types is analysed as well. In addition, the internal hydrobulging forming process is analysed by using the normal stress figure.
