Abstract

We study the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) wavepropagation in the solar atmosphere consisting of the chromosphere andcorona. Pressure enhancement and velocity shear are implementedsimultaneously at the bottom of the chromosphere. The global propagationof the incurred MHD waves, including fast-mode and slow-mode magnetoacousticwaves as well as Alfvén wave, can be identified. Wave frontpositions obtained numerically with respect to specific waves fit wellwith those calculated with local MHD wave speeds.
