Abstract

In this paper, a three-dimensional photon counting optical encryption technique with occlusion layers of the primary information is suggested. In the optical encryption including double-random-phase encryption, the encryption and decryption processes are simple and fast. The technique can provide greater security by using the sparse detection of photons in photon counting imaging for the amplitude of the encrypted data and the depth range information for the occlusion layers of the primary information. Preliminary experiments were conducted to show that the suggested technique has greater security.
