Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new three dimensional multi diagonal (3D-MD) code for optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system. Its corresponding system structure reduces 75% and 50% the complexity of 3D-perfect difference (3D-PD) and 3D-perfect/multi-diagonal (3D-PD/MD) receivers, respectively. Moreover, the numerical analysis shows that the proposed code outperforms the performance of one and two dimensional multi-diagonal (1D-MD and 2D-MD), 3D-PD and 3D-PD/MD codes.
