Abstract

ABSTRACTWe report new confocal microscopy using degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) geometry for three-dimensional measurement of biological samples. DFWM nonlinear confocal microscope that applies phase conjugate (PC) wave to the conventional confocal microscope obtains optical resonant properties of the focal region. As a result, the microscope provides three-dimensional image of biological samples with high spatial resolution.
