Abstract

The structural linear elastic response of a cracked tube to the traveling load arising from the gaseous detonation is the main purpose of this work. It is assumed that the tube is coated with functionally graded material. The effect of non-homogeneity of coating on fracture parameters and the stress field in tube in a three-dimensional manner is studied. The results show that the time history of stress field through the tube affected by gradation of coating material. The ability of finite element simulation in three-dimensional analysis of complex conditions of loading and materials has been proved.
