Abstract

A three-dimensional (3-D) display system based on digital holography is presented. Complex amplitude of 3-D object is calculated from digital holograms. Phase-only information can be used to reconstruct the 3-D object when the amplitude distribution is broad enough due to the speckle. We also demonstrate the complex amplitude processing to improve the image quality or manipulate the 3-D object.
